A Dutch e-commerce company with 10 years of experience is looking for an experienced PHP/Laravel developer for its backend team. The platform processes hundreds of thousands of transactions per month and is in an active development phase.

Office-based work in a modern office in central Amsterdam. The team consists of 8 developers with a culture built around code review and pair programming.

Your Responsibilities

  • Development and maintenance of the Laravel 11-based e-commerce platform
  • Designing and implementing REST APIs
  • Optimising MySQL and Redis queries
  • Code review and junior mentoring
  • Participating in sprint planning (Scrum)

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with the Laravel framework
  • Good knowledge of PHP 8.x, MySQL, Git
  • Experience with REST APIs and unit testing
  • Good English (daily team communication)

Not Required, But Would Be a Plus

  • Experience with Vue.js or React
  • Knowledge of Redis and queues
  • Experience with Docker and CI/CD
  • Dutch language skills

Additional Information

The company supports relocation to Amsterdam: it covers moving costs up to EUR 2,000 and provides temporary accommodation for the first 4 weeks. EU work authorisation required, or willingness to apply for the 30% ruling for candidates outside the Netherlands.
